He already had the theory about why he shouldn jump the gun on the action he took and he took it anyway, proving the theory correct. If he had waited, there may have only been one death instead of hundreds of thousands.
If I had a roommate that didn pay rent I would very much expect him to put in a little extra effort in cleaning, maybe cooking, buying snacks or something. However if I start giving him arbitrary rules like “I don want to see bones on the DVR” or “I never want to see your video games” now I just acting like somebody that never had power over somebody before.
